My experience with Reuben Fuller-Bennett and James Fishman has been extremely positive. They are pros to the nth degree. Although James successfully resolved a personal landlord-tenant matter for me and my wife a number of years ago, my recent commercial landlord-tenant case added Reuben to the team.... Reuben’s attention to detail and recall over a period of more than nine months was astonishing. He arranged the salient facts, dates, correspondence, affidavits, etc. in a clear, precise manner. Organized and immediately accessible. Reuben constantly kept in touch regarding dates of motions, deadlines, appearances etc. My specific case revolved around a determination as to whether I had a lease or not based upon email communication with my landlord. I first met Reuben Fuller-Bennett when I went in to meet James Fishman after I received a notice that the lease for my rent stabilized apartment would not be renewed. Reuben was one of James’s associates who would be assisting on this matter. I knew I was in great hands with James, and I quickly re...alized I was in great hands with Reuben as well. We had discussed what documentation I should provide to help my case, and immediately after our meeting Reuben sent me an email outlining each and every item we discussed, and of he offered ideas and suggestions as to how to obtain certain other documents. He stressed each and every item’s importance for my case. I could tell he was truly on my side professionally as well as personally. I sent Reuben the documentation as I had it, and he provided me with updates as to what he had/what we were still waiting for. He was very organized and on top of everything. Reuben responded to every question I had along the way, and he did so very quickly. He was very knowledgeable on cases like mine. He was very positive about my case, and when I was getting nervous he assured me that our case was strong and not to worry. He kept James copied on every e-mail exchange, and deferred to James to answer a question when he was not 100% sure on an answer. Both James and Reuben kept me informed as to the progress of what was happening. James is the one who let me know that the landlord would be renewing my lease, and I could not have been more grateful and thankful for the work done by him and of course Reuben. I am confident that anyone who works with Reuben will have the same positive experience as I had.
