I paid $500 for a consultation with Maria Coffinas on June 27, 2025. I asked which records I should keep to support my childcare obligations claim, and she told me Zelle payments to the caretaker were enough. I just received my court judgment saying that Zelle payment records were not legally suffici...ent and as a result of her advice I cannot be reimbursed by child’s father for the $20,000k in childcare expenses I paid out of pocket while the case was ongoing. I am a lawyer myself and am shocked at the level of incompetence Ms. Coffinas displayed. She won’t even refund the consultation fee and claims she didn’t “represent” me. I will be reporting her to the bar.
