After beginning my career prosecuting child abuse cases in the south Bronx, I have always had a passion for assisting families in need. There can be no more important aspect of a persons life than to protect and enjoy their family. I handle divorce, child support, visitation, guardianship and related matters.

There are few things more frightening to my clients than being evicted from their home. In the current economic climate too many people are one paycheck away from being homeless. What happens when a legitimate error occurs and you are late on your rent, and then you fail to pay the late fee and before you know it you have a sign on your door telling you to move or else. . . I have helped many people through this process and if done correctly there is almost always a solution that can reached.

There is no truer practice of law than in the appellate courts. The facts and circumstances and evidence that may have been misunderstood or misrepresented in the trial court can only be corrected on appeal, and the appellate courts are where changes and clarifications of the law can be advocated. Law is always changing. There is always a new case that brings to light a set of circumstances that had never existed before. we have to ensure the law keeps pace with its citizens.

This category takes over far too many practice areas to describe in a format such as this. Let me just say that whether it is in the realm of an illegal eviction, an improper stop by a police officer, a wrongful termination of your employment; a denial of social security or disability benefits; being subject to an unlawful search; being denied a work permit for a housing renovation, being denied guardianship of a child. There are too many ways the government can impede on your rights.
