Robert A. Carpentier

Under NO CIRCUMSTANCES should you EVER hire this lawyer. Mr. Carpentier represented me during my matrimonial case, and billed me over $200,000 without resolving any issues. No trial or hearing on the issues ever occurred. My case involved over 100 adjournments. He is an inept attorney in my opinion. ...Then, he placed a lien on my case file, prejudicing my case. Ironically, I hired another attorney who resolved the issues in my case without a single piece of paper from Mr. Carpentier's precious file... in a very efficient manner. I now have full custody of my children. Finally, Mr. Carpentier drove me into bankruptcy, where he appeared and opposed ANY adjournments after allowing an unreasonable amount of adjournments at my expense while representing me. Mr. Carpentier is way more aggressive attempting to collect fees for his firm, than he is aggressive when representing his client. There are many other lawyers out there... I'd be very careful when dealing with this guy. Do yourself a favor, start looking for another lawyer if you need legal services. He works for Albanese and Albanese law firm in Garden City, N.Y. He is "of counsel," not a partner.

NEVER HIRE THIS ATTORNEY!!! Mr. Carpentier represented me during part of my matrimonial action. Mr. Carpentier presided over my case which involved over 100 adjournments, with none of the issues being resolved. Mr. Carpentier billed me over $200,000 and there was never as much as a hearing on the iss...ues. Then, this "attorney" had a lien placed on my file, attempting to prejudice my case. Ironically, the attorney who took over the case resolved all of the issues in the case, and needed absolutely NOTHING from Mr. Carpentier. My 2nd attorney won the case, and I'm a man who has full custody of my children. My new attorney was successful in a fraction of the time, and at 1/10th the cost of Mr. Carpentier. (HE ACTUALLY GOT RESULTS WHICH PROTECTED ME AND MY CHILDREN.) Then, Mr. Carpentier drove me into bankruptcy, attempting to garnish my wages, etc, all the while FIGHTING ANY ADJOURNMENTS to the case... Ridiculous. If this guy was half as aggressive when he was representing me as he was attempting to collect his fees, maybe I wouldn't have needed the 2nd attorney. If you are looking for someone who gets nothing done and wastes everyone's time and money, Robert Carpentier is your man. There are thousands of other lawyers out there... do yourself and your family a favor, keep looking.
