Very knowledgeable and straightforward

Esther listened carefully to my questions and concerns relating to my role as estate administrator. She was very candid in her comments, impressed me with her estate law knowledge, and made me aware of various factors to consider as I continue moving forward in my administrator activities.

Unequivocal Recommendation Based on Esther's Professionalism

I just completed my estate planning with Esther Schwartz Zelmanovitz and Esther P. Levinson and the experience working with them was extremely pleasant. My will and estate planning was somewhat complex due to family relationships, children’s needs, financial issues, etc.…. The professionalism a...nd courtesy they showed me along with their genuine concern for doing the right thing was apparent immediately and continued throughout the whole process. What was also abundantly clear was their patience for my questions and their ability to answer all of them in a timely manner in a way that I would be able to understand. I was never made to feel like I was bothering them with my questions. They started the process by asking about me, my wants, my concerns and what I was trying to accomplish. During this discussion they asked additional questions to address or clarify things that I had not addressed or even considered. Everything said during that initial conversation was their guiding star throughout the whole process and the final documents reflect all of this. After delivering to me my documents Esther and Esty took the time to walk me through the documents, page by page, explaining to me what everything meant. They also took the time to point out where my specific concerns and wishes were addressed. If, at any point during the process, there were options to be considered, both Esther and Esty took the time to explain the options and ramifications of each and advised on how each option corresponded back to my overall goals for my estate planning. I am confident in saying that, should anything happen to me, my estate is in order and my children will be cared for. Prior to going to Esther and Esty, I had gone to two other law firms who used boilerplate forms that they plugged my information into it and presented that to me as my estate planning. They never took the time to fully understand my situation and advise me on how to proceed. The worst part was when I started to ask questions about how things were being addressed or the meaning of things in the will, if I received a reply, I was made to seem like I was annoying them with my questions and concerns. The experience here was the opposite. I would unequivocally recommend Esther and Esty to anyone asking for a reference for an estate attorney.

Our appreciation

In 2019 we had the unfortunate situation because our brother suffered an accident that left him disabled and needing rehabilitation and eventually permanent nursing home care. Since he was alone in New York and all his relatives resided in other states, we urgently needed orientation to face this une...xpected situation. We contacted Esther Schwartz Zelmanovitz, PLLC who received us at her office for a comprehensive orientation. We had a very cordial reunion where after reviewing our situation, Mrs. Zelmanovitz presented us her recommendations and options for a plan to provide for our brother’s long term care and wellbeing. Since the siblings lived out of state it was of tremendous help that, after we retained the lawyers, they prepared all the necessary legal documents to allow them to provide for his care and application for Medicaid. For several months we were in communication by telephone and by emails as all the documentation necessary for the Medicaid application was gathered and organized. Finally we received the good news that he had been accepted for Medicaid thus assuring for his long term nursing home care. We are very pleased with the pleasant, diligent and professional manner in which Esther Zelmanovitz and Esty Levinson and their office handled our case. EJWC

One of the best in the area, always follows up

I found to Esther Schwartz Zelmanovitz profile online and she seems to be one of the best lawyers in several areas, including Medicaid planning. I got a good impression the first time I spoke to her over the phone and she instilled a confidence in me about my case. She's very professional and punctua...l. When I spoke to her in person, she explained to me possible options and a clear plan step by step. Her office kept me in the loop with follow ups, I didn't need to call them to find out on my status. I find keeping a customer in the loop is one of the most important things when it comes to working with a professional lawyer, and Esther Zelmanovitz and her office are exactly that.

Proficient and Caring Eldercare Attorney
