Initially, I was so nervous going into their office. But they made me feel at ease instantly when I walked through the door and greeted me with a big smile. They have made my entire legal experience a pleasure to deal with. Thank you so much for all of your help, Chris & Jenn. I couldn't have made it... through this tough time without your guidance, patience, advice, kind words and helping hands. I will forever be indepted to you for how much you have helped me.

Once upon a time I did everything right, followed the rules, lived well and paid my bills in advance. I lost my job and financially went backwards over time. For a period I lived off my credit cards so that I would not loose what I worked so hard to achieve. Unfortunately, the time took a little long...er and my dependency resulted in hefty balances. At the time my APR was fixed at 3.7 - to max of 7 on a few cards. I did manage to get back into the workforce, but was not making what I used to. The result, I started a trend of being late on my payments. I was too much of a basket case to read the fine print of the new credit card policy (hook) and my APR from the jump went from low to over 27% on balances over 10k. I wanted to die, and years were spent trying to catch up, making payment plans and living pay check to pay check....trying to do the right thing. Not one of my creditors adjusted my rate, and told me that in order to get any assistance I needed to default. As much as it killed me, I did just that. What I did not know was that my accounts would be turned to collection agencies immediately. The game changed and attempts were made to garnish my wages and freeze my assets. I was an absolute mess trying to work things out with animals that did not care, and all the time I was making payments, late....but made them. It was not enough, and I had no choice. If I allowed wage garnishment it would have placed me in foreclosure. They did not care, but I had to. I immediately called Christopher B Kleister's office, he was my first and last call. The idea of filing a BK was like being on the Titanic, but when I was schooled on the reality of the game (creditors), I became very comfortable with the option. At no point was I pushed into filing, at no point did I feel like I was surrounded by a hungry attorney looking to prey on the weak. I encountered the opposite, I was given space to really think about what I needed to do and they were there to answer my questions before I came to the decision on my own. In fairness to them, I did not allow much time....they made me feel so comfortable in the decision, the process, and made every step crystal clear without a miss. My motivation was to take back my independence, which was sold to the devil with these creditors wanting to play by their rules rather than to work with me. "Team Kleister" came in and saved me in the only way a person can get saved in my situation, filed quickly, gave me a homework assignment (checklist) to compile (they got the following day) and it was just a matter of time. The work was on me, but the expertise was on them. I cannot thank them enough for taking my call, for listening to my story, to counseling me from start to finish, and for fulfilling their promise that they would work as hard with me to get this done. The paperwork was grueling, but hey its a BK, not a parking violation. In the end it was seamless, there were no issues at all, and all happened exactly as it was explained to me. Don't get me wrong, the decision in filing a BK was life altering for me. I used to be in the 800 FICO bucket and working on Wall Street. Never thought in a million years that I'd join the masses. Life lesson 101 "It can happen to anybody". Nonetheless, I felted protected, I felt I made the right choice.....even if it was my first and only call, but that was because "Team Kleister" nailed it at "hello". Would I recommend this office? Are you kidding me? I have angels in Washingtonville, NY. They are experts, have been there and have done many thats and they are people in suits. They are people that care, that go above and beyond for their clients. I was very lucky, and have no regrets thanks to them. May 7th marks a year since my discharge. I am debt free, still have my house, and have me. Thank you, Team Kleister! There would not have been a me, if it wasn't for "us". I hope my review brings solace to another. Choices are hard, results are easier.
