Richard Joel Mandell

     Richard Mandell has been the prime mover in Orange County, New York with regard to innovative programs for divorcing and separating parents for the last thirty years.  He started the Dispute Resolution Center in Orange and Sullivan Counties and wrote statewide training maunuals for mediators on custody and visitation issues and organized and then lectured in the Parents Apart program since the mid-nineties.

     Richard was a child support magistrate for nearly 20 years and has been in private practice, of counsel to Barbara J. Strauss, Law Offices since 2004.

       Currently Richard's practice focuses on assisting couples going through divorce or separation by utilizing mediation or the collaborative divorce model.
