Kelli Marie O'Brien

She was appointed to represent my daughter in a 10 year custody case. She lies, changes checks, falsify bills. She is very politically motivated, her social media posts show hatred for anyone not like her. She has hurt my poor daughter. She also never paid her law school, filled bankruptcy and when ...they would not discharge the debt she appealed and lost. Look up the case. She should never be appointed by the state ever again, and I am going to make sure everyone know what she is.

Kelli OBrien is the WORST lawyer. She makes a big fuss and a bunch of big time plans when you first meet and retain her and what winds up being a load of empty promises. She asks that you only communicate through email and NEVER responds. Months will go by with absolutely no responses. She signs or...ders written by the opposing attorney without reading and makes no attempt to resolve any of her incompetent actions. It is only after reaching out to The Judge to try to get a response that she will send any type of one sentence email and then after making a client wait months for a very important court date due to her “busy schedule” she sends in a motion to be relieved off the case for no valid reasoning at all just days before a trial date has been patiently waited for. I only reached out to her when in need of extreme legal advice and she never made any attempt to help in any way. if you are looking for a lawyer that cares about your and your child’s well being, keep looking. I made a complete slam dunk case all on my own and all she had to do was look over the documents I HAD COLLECTED and when asked for a face to face meeting to prepare for trial date sent in a motion for dismissal. HORRIBLE ATTORNEY WITH A BAD ATTITUDE AND CANNOT HANDLE CONSTRUCTIVE CRITISISM OR an unsatisfied client, instead just bails leaving client attorney less and without a patiently waited for court date

While Kelli may be assertive in holding her ground, if you want action, she takes forever. I got the feeling Kelli takes on too many cases, that she skimmed my file before court and made assumptions about my case without actually looking through the details. She missed numerous deadlines filing pap...ers, answering attorneys, and at one of my trial conferences never even appeared with the required paperwork. The judge was thoroughly unimpressed, as was I. My case probably could have been settled without a pricey trial, but a scheduled court date is all that would get her to act. She gets overly emotional and loud in a courtroom, which at first may seem like she is fighting for you, but in reality the judges and other lawyers see through it and all it does is waste time and money by not actually getting to the facts of the case. Her heart may be in the right place, but because she does not take enough time to fully invest herself in your case the result is less than satisfactory. From speaking with members in my town and my community, Kelli is known as a 'trial attorney' and is rarely cooperative in seeing your case come to some middle ground with your adversary to avoid huge court and attorneys' fees.
