Stay away from this law firm

We hired Klein for simple uncontested probate matter because his office had handled estate matters for our deceased parent. We were totally unfamiliar with process and relied on Klein to supply guidance but were given no guidance. Then we discovered numerous careless significant errors in important m...atters. These errors were finally corrected but at Klein's hourly fee rather than paralegal's fee. Also, Klein initially did not perform all duties and meet deadlines as outlined in retainer agreement and had to be prompted to do so as deadlines came and went. Again, we were charged Klein's hourly fee for all phone calls, e-mail and texts even though actual work was done by paralegal and other support staff. I eventually discovered that Klein's fee of $450/hour was inflated for Rockland County and that many other local firms charged a flat fee for a simple uncontested probate. The ethics and efficiency of this firm are dubious at best. Stay away.

I can't believe a prior review

David handled my mother going for medicare. We did what he wanted and the application was approved fast. He knows Rockland County elder care laws well, and the Department of Social Service highly respects him. I just don't understand the other review as that experience is just the opposite of my exp...erience.

Rude, no-inteligence attorney - would not recommend to ANYONE. Beware.

As an attorney, David has been nothing but uneducated, irresponsible, rude, tacky and low class. He has done nothing for my mother's case - has insulted both her and I. Furthermore, David and his staff have hung up on me, repeatedly, after I demanded to speak with him when he didn't return my calls f...or 5 days in a row. I would not recommend David to anyone and am filing withe the NYS BAR to see what it would take to get him disbarred.

AVOID THIS ATTORNEY

Mr. Klein has plenty of ideas and appears to have extensive knowledge during meetings with him. Once you retain his services and leave the office, the entire file is handed to his Paralegal and he seemingly has little to no contact with the case after that. His paralegal seems to "handle" everything ...for him. Phone calls to Mr. Klein are regularly not returned; emails are regularly not answered. Any contact seems to come from his Paralegal (and only if you contact her and manage to get her on the phone, as she is also lacking when it comes to returning calls or emails). Deadlines are missed, documentation you provide them with is requested numerous times, and/or gets "lost" on occasion. Recently they did not even notify us of a negative decision rendered on our case, until I called to inquire about the progress. Mr. Klein has handled a few elder matters for us and managed to seemingly botch every one of them. Steer clear of this Attorney and Firm.
