Lydia S. Antoncic

As an experienced litigator for over 20 years, Lydia S. Antoncic offers a uniquely personalized approach to her family and matrimonial law clients. In addition to representing private litigants in family and matrimonial proceedings, Lydia represents children in neglect, custody, and other family court proceedings. She is also a trained mediator who works with couples to reach an amicable divorce resolution.

Lydia’s approach to practice family law can best be illustrated by her own personal experience with divorce, after which she and her ex-husband worked diligently to rebuild their friendship for the best interests of their son. Although Lydia’s former husband passed away a few years ago, she honors their friendship and keeps his memory alive for their son, by supporting the Marfan Foundation, and even ran the NYC marathon in 2014 to raise funds in honor of her ex-husband.

Lydia is also an experienced and accomplished appellate attorney. Her practice areas also include personal injury, animal law and insurance coverage litigation. She is a graduate of New York University, where she received a B.A. in Politics, 1991. She earned her J.D. from Catholic University Columbus School of Law in 1994.

Her professional memberships include: New York State Bar Association (Family Law Section); Westchester County Bar Association (Domestic Relations and Family Law Section); New Rochelle Bar Association (Family/Matrimonial Law Section); Westchester Women’s Bar Association (Family Law Section) and New York Women’s Bar Association (Co-Chair, Legislation Committee and member of Matrimonial Law Committee). As a recognized advocate for victims of domestic violence, she was recently invited to join the leadership committee of My Sisters’ Place “Team MSP” project.

She also loves working with kids and has presented at career day for Albert Leonard Middle School in New Rochelle, along with her former high school Brooklyn Technical High School.
