Joe helped my sister and I with all the legal elder care issues surrounding my mother's situation. My mother had a severe case of Vascular dementia and Alzheimer's disease. It was a very difficult time for us, but Joe made everything easier for us by explaining things in clear, easy to understand t...erms. He was also very supportive and understanding of our feelings during a difficult time. He helped us find a good nursing home for our mom and he took care of the Medicaid application. He also was always available to answer questions about everything from dealing with doctors, handling taxes, Wills and probate vs. non-probate items. He is more than a excellent attorney. He is a very good man with a big heart. I highly recommend him to anyone in need of elder care legal advice and assistance!

Attorney Kelly helped clear up all the issues we had with a previous trust documents along with a deed for the house. His assistance helped us get the land records straightened out with the Westchester County clerk's office that we had tried numerous times to resolve unsuccessfully. The previous ...legal firm in NYC had put together a very complicated trust which involved a QTIP Marital Trust and Family Trust that were inappropriate for our needs. Attorney Kelly greatly simplified the document and corrected mistakes they made which affected placing the house into the trust. This also helped clear up the mistakes the previous firm had made which affected the land records with the Westchester County Clerk. We very much appreciated his timely follow-ups by phone and by email. He was very reasonably priced and offered far more value than the NYC firm we dealt with previously. Working with him has been a pleasure.

Mr. Kelly was recommended to me through the long term care facility where my dad was receiving rehabilitation. My dad needed long term care so I hired him to assist in the medicaid application. Mr. Kelly was extremely helpful in guiding me through the difficult medicaid application process. He answer...ed many emails and phone calls to my numerous questions. We were successful in getting my dad medicaid-qualified and able to stay in the long term care facility. I would highly recommend Mr. Kelly.

I was the executor of my mother's estate. Joe Kelly was recommended to me. I hired him - a decision I now regret. When I asked him about filing a certain paper, when he finally got back to me he told me there was an initial paper that had to be filed. I asked him why that paper had not been filed... months before and his non-answer was telling. Finally, the estate was concluded and I sent Kelly an affidavit to that effect, to be filed as part of the closing of the estate. I just checked the Westchester County Surrogate's Court and was told my affidavit was not filed and the estate is still "open." I don't know whether Mr. Kelly was going through problematic personal issues at the time, but my experience with him suggests that his handling of my mother's estate either was - or bordered upon - professional malpractice.

Joe was hired to help with an inheritance (by another party) and our experience has been so poor that I am obligated to warn others considering using his “services”. His specialty is elder-care and I have had to step in to help some frustrated elderly people that cannot get Joe to respond to calls or... emails. It was not until we threatened to report to the NY Bar association that any action started to happen and we started to get responses from email but Joe still can’t seem to provide clear guidance or consistent communication. This has been especially hard on the elderly people that hired him. Look elsewhere for quality service.
