Lawrence Bruce LaRaus

I have been dealing with my separation/divorce/family court issues since 2007. When I retained Larry LaRaus, my divorce had been finalized by another attorney and I soon realized that the terms of the divorce were unfavorable to me. From the very first conversation I had with Larry, he was right to ...the point and very honest about the pros and cons of the decree as it had been written. Even though this process has been emotionally draining, he has done such a great job of making me feel less apprehensive about any court appearances or inappropriate behavior that I have had to put up with from my ex-wife and her lawyer. Whenever we have spoken, the first thing he asks me are how my children are doing. Whenever I have expressed any negative issues I have had with my children, Larry has shown genuine concern. You can't really put a numerical value on this type of concern, professionalism, and humanity that Larry has shown My last family court appearance was to take my second child off of support because he reached the age of 21. The difference in the amount I was looking at was between a minuscule few dollars a week, to a substantial amount. In my case it would have been unjust to lower my support to just a few dollars a week. After a conference between the judge, Larry, and the other attorney, (second court appearance for this case), the judge lowered my support substantially. Needless to say I was extremely happy and felt that the court ruling was fair. I still have at least one, or two more court cases to go in the next four years. I can't think of anyone else I would rather have standing in my legal corner then Larry LaRaus!

One of the best decisions I ever made was to hire Larry to represent me during my divorce. He not only worked hard to ensure I had the best outcome on all fronts (child support, custody, financial) but he made sure during the whole process I was comfortable with everything; from the paperwork I neede...d to complete to courtroom proceedings. I ALWAYS felt Larry “had my back” 100%, and during the divorce process, ask anyone - it’s vital to have someone you trust in your corner every step of the way. Larry is exceptionally competent at what he does, and having felt so strongly about how well I was represented I referred him to my colleague at work who, after meeting with him, hired him as well. There are thousands of lawyers out there and on this site, but only one Larry LaRaus…:)
