Stanley A. Tomkiel

Stanley A. Tomkiel, III has been litigating on behalf of personal injury plaintiffs since 1979, when he joined his father, Stanley Jr. (retired 2008) to form Tomkiel & Tomkiel. Mr. Tomkiel handles complex injury and wrongful death cases, including construction and worksite accidents, serious injuries caused by medical malpractice, defective products and/or unsafe premises, and motor vehicle accidents.

Many of Mr. Tomkiel’s settlements and verdicts have been reported in state and national publications, including the New York Law Journal, the New York Jury Verdict Reporter and the Association of Trial Lawyers of America Law . Tomkiel was recently featured in New York Magazine’s “Top Rated Lawyers” in 2012, as well as the New York Law Journal’s “Top New York Settlements of 2012” (lead counsel: Oo v. Prompt Apparell Inc.) and the New York Law Journal’s “Top New York Verdict’s of 2011” (lead counsel: Henry v. J.E. Levine Builder).

Mr. Tomkiel has also achieved the highest possible ranking by Martindale Hubble, the AV rating, which indicates preeminent legal ability and high ethical standards as established by confidential opinions of other members of the Bar. Mr. Tomkiel routinely lectures at Continuing Legal Education courses and is the author of The Social Security Benefits Handbook (editions 1 through 5), and The Social Security Answer Book: Practical Answers to More Than 200 Questions on Social Security, the definitive guide for navigating the complex system of obtaining and understanding Social Security benefits.
