Insurance companies will not pay you directly. They are concerned that the money will not make it to the provider.

If this money is an inheritance, and it is owed to you within 180 days after your case was filed it MUST go to the creditors.

Even if you could attend with a POA, it behooves your nephew to attend personally for all of the obvious reasons.
