Assuming the lender had the right to repo your car, it does not have the right to keep your personal belongings. Contact the lender immed.

To be a debtor in bankruptcy you must be a living person. So no you can't file on her behalf.

No. But if the spouse left an estate that is probated in Surrogate's Court, the creditor will have a valid claim.
