Ruins Families - misrepresents children / Family Court and Divorce Corruption

Lisa Colin is an Attorney for the Child in White Plains Family Court. Please do not give her anymore business. In her past cases she advocates to take children away from parents and also hides domestic violence. This attorney should be disbarred. Lisa Colin also uses her friends with psychology ...degrees to report to the courts for the child and labels children with diagnosis which is not accurate. This attorney will bill for time to see the child and tamper which a child’s education, she begins to over take the role of the parents’ and you will lose your parental rights and misreporting to the court by hiring her further dragging on a case for several years. Lisa Colin will implant herself in your case and child’s life and there will be no boundaries. It does not matter if you are a father or a mother. If you want to stop corruption do not hire her, additionally she will be on privately paid cases and will be forced to pay approx 40k to 100k by the time she lies to the court and judges using your child to fill her pockets, both parents are left in financial ruins . Do your homework on her cases, before she is hired. In one of her cases, a child was medicated and she had CPS in her corner, the child went to various Behavioral Health Centers and was illiterate by the time she was 13yrs old. Lisa Colin also is tangled with many cases where she advocates for children to be taken away by the state. Our society does not need people like this in the system advocating for children. Furthermore, she is also paid by the state taking on a substantial amount of cases with tax payers money. Remember an Attorney for the Child acts as the child’s voice, sad but true, Lisa Colin will twist the words of a child and a parent to help the monied spouse paying her, the child’s constitutional rights are taken away and the words and truths are twisted. The child is then further left without a voice and Lisa Colin uses the child for continuous motion practice further dividing the family and using the child…this is how she gets paid.

Hardest Working Lawyers

A coworker referred me to Lisa's law firm in 2008 for help after I was injured in an accident. Lisa and her team worked extremely hard getting my case to trial, and even continued to help me after trial. I am very grateful and extremely impressed.

Avvo Rating

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
