Lazy with everything except getting HER fee

Not only was she overpaid for subpar services but she tried to Bill me TWICE claiming same unpaid bill, after already paid her in full. The ironic thing is she won't lift a finger before getting paid in full... So not realistic to have unpaid balance for work she did. Avoid her !

Mediocrity at its finest.

I never imagined an attorney could be so lazy and incompetent. I hired Jill because it appeared she had experience litigating against the opposing party's counsel, so I hoped it would make matters easier. However, after submitting my retainer, communication from her was zero. I had submitted to her e...verything related to the case in an extremely organized folder, and requested we speak before the next hearing. Despite my multiple requests, this never happened. Instead, her paralegal Alyson (most unprofessional paralegal ever!) reached out to me a few days before the hearing, demanding certain things from me in a panic, literally ordering me to do irrational things for them at the last minute, and--to make things worse--taking no responsibility for their incompetence and actually blaming me for their lack of communication, organization, and professionalism. It was horrific. I actually reached out to Mr. Abrams directly, as I was extremely mortified on how all this would impact my case. He could care less and did nothing. You could tell the lack of communication and professionalism comes all the way from the top. I desperately wanted to change attorneys, but was afraid it would delay things even further and it might look bad before the Court so I kept hanging on. I can't express how I DEEPLY REGRET THIS. I hoped the same insanity would not happen again, and it just got worse. The same thing happened for the next hearing, where they had months to prepare but decided to leave everything until the last minute AGAIN. They'd reach out to me giving me orders, asking for notarized papers and sending subpoenas 2 DAYS before court. What kind of professional does this? I specifically requested not to deal with her paralegal, Alyson, again as she was the most unprofessional person I've ever dealt with. But obviously, the responsibility was Jill's, and she did NOTHING. I had been waiting to resolve things for nearly 2.5 years, as the opposing party refused to discuss any settlements. As such, no terms of settlement were ever discussed. During the last hearing, the Judge insisted we tried to settle, and to my surprise, the opposing party was finally willing to negotiate. We had never discussed this and we were NOT ready to settle. However, since Jill had already used all my retainer in nothing but wasting my resources and patience, she saw this as an opportunity to drop the case, and insisted on settling the case. I could hardly believe it when she was sitting in front of me outside the Court that last hearing, and she told her paralegal sitting next to her that things must be settled now because I would no longer be able to afford her services. Yes, really. By the end of the hearing, we did settle, but that was just because Jill deliberately did not disclose 2 things to me: 1. She deliberately did not disclose and address a couple of very important matters, and 2. She refused to mention that once you agree to settle, you CANNOT go back to Court and appeal, (even if your attorney deliberately did not address certain important matters with you). So, in short, after 2.5 years of waiting to do things right, Jill screwed me over. I hired new representation to try and fix the mess she made, but it was of no help, because once you settle it's almost impossible for the Court to let you modify the settlement. And on top of that, Jill was supposed to have had court transcripts from the last hearings, but given her impeccable record of irresponsibility and unprofessionalism, she failed to follow-up with the transcript agency. This put me on a veryyy tight deadline, and as if she had not made matters bad enough already, she then pulled out the payment to the transcript agency, delaying things even further. I ended up paying even more, including rushed service due to her incompetence. Tell me you don't give a s*** about your customers without saying it. The only work she actually ever do was compromise and sabotage my case. Mediocrity at its finest.
