Mr. La Sorsa has distinguished himself as a trial attorney in defense of negligence (and medical malpractice) cases, first developing his skills at the prestigious Garbarini & Scher, where he was associated with some of the top trial attorneys in New York City.

While at Garbarini & Scher, Mr. La Sorsa successfully tried a number of defense cases to verdict, including a well-publicized medical malpractice case involving a television celebrity and a plastic surgeon. Mr. La Sorsa also developed a system of legal seminars and in-house training while at Garbarini, lecturing clients on claims management and loss prevention issues.

During his tenure at Issler & Schrage, Mr. La Sorsa developed a defense practice at the firm, representing several clients who followed him there. Mr. La Sorsa also devised innovative and competitive billing programs for his firm=s legal representation, which he carried over to the institution of La Sorsa & Beneventano.

Mr. La Sorsa founded La Sorsa & Beneventano in 1995. He is an experienced litigator who is at home in the courthouse as well as behind the scenes. He has tried almost 100 cases to verdict. After spending years on the defense side of the bar, with a heavy involvement in the defense of no-fault asset recovery matters, both Mr. LaSorsa & Mr. Beneventano decided to switch the firm=s focus to the representation of medical providers in insurance claim recovery matters. That aspect of the practice has blossomed and LaSorsa & Beneventano now plays a major role in the field of No-Fault Asset Recovery, recovering on $40,000, of unpaid claims. In addition, Mr. La Sorsa has been involved with billing and management issues for medical providers, having represented several billing companies engaged in no-fault, workers comp and major medical invoices.

Mr. La Sorsa has been instrumental in helping to shape corporate structure and independent contractor law in New York as it pertains to medical providers, and has been influential in developing strategies to address carrier attempts to thwart recoveries via verification and EUO delaying tactics. He has chaired conferences regarding strategies for recovery of medical assets and given seminars on billing strategies and techniques.
