Anthony Giordano is a former criminal prosecutor and a respected criminal trial and appellate counsel. His appeal in the case of People v Mangano, changed New York's Aggravated Harassment laws. The Court of Appeals overturned Ms. Mangano's conviction and dismissed the charges against her, finding that statements left on a Village government answering machine were protected speech and that future enforcement of the law required First Amendment consideration. Prior to Mangano, the content of the speech was unimportant under the law if it were shown that the recipient became annoyed, alarmed or felt harassed. In People v Clarke, Mr. Giordano had Mr. Clarke's conviction for sexual assault overturned. Clarke, who was accused by a stepdaughter in the middle of a nasty divorce from her mother of having sexully abused her 12 years earlier, asked Mr. Giordano to handle the new trial and he was acquitted.
Mr. Giordano is a graduate of St. John''s School of Law. He was a New York City Firefighter before becoming a prosecutor. He spent three years as a managing attorney at a prestigious NY personal injury firm.

The Best of the Best !
Got in trouble with local government; got convicted of aggravated harassment 2nd. Hired Mr. Anthony Giordano, Ossining, N.Y. to appeal the conviction. He wrote legal papers and got the case heard in New York's highest court, the NY Court of Appeals. We WON! My conviction was over-turned. NOT GUILTY...
