Beware of this attorney. Not good representation at all. Unfortunately, I had a very bad experience with Mr. Riebling did not represent me well at all in child custody case. He did not return phones emails or text messages. He was unprepared for court & did not provide me with email link for court. I... had to reach out to county clerk & cc on email to remind him of court date. Extremely disappointed.

Bad and unexpected things happen to us all. But when they happen to your child, no matter his or her age, you are likely unprepared, emotional, and don’t know what to do. That’s what happened when we got a call in the middle of the night advising that our adult child was in a police station, allege...dly driving while intoxicated. Even though we are both attorneys, we had no idea how to navigate this situation. We searched online and fatefully stumbled onto the website of Riebling and Payton. We read the reviews of others, and immediately called their office. Despite the hour, we received a response and immediate guidance, and retained the firm before we went to retrieve our son. With his expertise in this niche area of the law, Steve Riebling guided us, and more importantly, our child, with patience and kindness. This part of the legal system is difficult to navigate, and we know that we could not have gotten through this without him. I came to Mr. Riebling after my previous attorney botched a post judgement case. He assured me he would would to settle my case fairly and timely. However, he did the opposite. Mr. Riebling never return my phone calls. In fact the only phone calls I received from him was a call made 15min before the... court conference. On the call he rushed through the entire phone conversation not listening to anything I had to say. At the conference he made many mistakes in relaying my case to the judge. He did not addressed any of my concerns. The judge stated for him to settle the case however he has been allowing my case to linger for over 4 months with no resolution. I paid him a retainer that should have been enough to cover the settlement however because he’s allowing the case to drag on, it has eaten up one retainer and now he’s asking to pay a second retainer. I do not suggest you waste your money and pull your hair out over an attorney that will take your money and give you no results. I should have noticed that the positive reviews are over 5 years ago. Today 2021 Mr. Reibling is a terrible attorney that I warning you to stay away from.
