I am a senior/broad scale Litigation/Dispute Resolution Attorney and an Entertainment Law Attorney as a Partner at Marin Goodman, LLP - based in Harrison, New York (office building, above) and Berkeley Heights, NJ/USA. For 29 years, I was with Budd Larner, P.C. in Short Hills, NJ and, from the late 1990’s on, an Equity Shareholder of the Firm. Budd Larner, P.C., which peaked at 140 attorneys in the late 1990’s, unfortunately, dissolved effective June 30, 2019 – 85 years since its founding.
I joined Marin Goodman, LLP in July 2019. The Firm is full-service with concentrations in Litigation, Entertainment Law and Business Law including Start-Up Companies, Finance/Investment Law and Commercial Litigation and Disputes. Our entertainment clients include the producer of such films as Atomic Blonde (Charlize Theron), 3000 Miles to Graceland (Kevin Costner, Kurt Russell), O (the modern Shakespeare re-make starring Mekhi Phifer, Julia Stiles, Josh Hartnett) and Scott Pilgrim vs. The World (Netflix). We have experience in negotiating and closing many film and series projects with major platforms such as Netflix, NBC Universal, Paramount+, Hulu and more.
Our client, Eric Gitter, also produced the #1 (All-time, for two years) Netflix action hit, Extraction, starring Chris Hemsworth, with the Russo brothers (who have directed The Avengers films) as co-producers. The sequel, Extraction 2, again starring Chris Hemsworth, was released in June 2023 – and Netflix immediately announced signing the producers and Hemsworth for Extraction 3. Atomic Blonde 2 with Charlize Theron is also in development for Netflix. Mr. Gitter also produced the Taika Waititi limited series, The Auteur (Jude Law – for SHOWTIME, as reported on by Deadline, Variety and Forbes in February 2020).
Marin Goodman, LLP is based in Harrison, NY after moving from 40 Wall Street in New York City. The firm’s practice is national with concentration in the New York/New Jersey region. My practice base is principally New Jersey and New York with national clients, as well.
