My spouses paperwork states incorrect separation date and "reconciliation is improbable". He hasn't tried, what should I do?

Reconciliation is not the province of the court system. If you and your spouse want to, you can - but it takes the two of you.

No. Inheritance is separate property unless it has been put into a joint account or otherwise commingled with marital funds.
