Alla Voronovitskaia

I am an Attorney admitted to practice before New York State courts and Federal Court of the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York, fluent in Russian. I am a member in good standing of Association of Certified Fraud Examiners, American Bar Association, New York State Bar Association, New York City Bar Association, American Criminal Justice Association: Lambda Alpha Epsilon. I graduated from Pace Law School and John Jay College of Criminal Justice with various honors and awards, as well as attaining a Lieutenant status at the Russian Customs Military Academy majoring in Jurisprudence.

I am a first generation immigrant who understands the struggles of the process of legalization in the United States and is sensitive to the needs of the immigration and other clients. Throughout the years of practical experience, I have gained a strong foundation in civil and criminal litigation and honed strong practical legal research, writing, trial advocacy and investigative skills. As an associate and legal analyst at Mesirow Financial Consulting Company, I analyzed evidence and conducted investigations of corporations for possible civil and criminal violations of State and Federal laws. Furthermore, working at the New York State Office of the Attorney General, I assisted AAGs in representing the State of New York in state court litigation. Likewise, working for the Westchester County District Attorney’s Office, I investigated complex mortgage fraud cases. Additionally, at Pace Law at Pace Law School John Jay Criminal Justice Clinic, I represented indigent clients in criminal litigation.

Prior to law school, I also obtained extensive and unique practical experience by founding and operating my own business. My motivation and desire to build a career in law inspired me to open my own community- based organization devoted to providing legal services for indigent persons as well as translation services for Russian-speaking community members. Through these experiences, I have been exposed to an array of complex legal matters and learned to quickly analyze and understand issues in a professional environment and under the strict time constraints inherent in litigation and investigative matters.
