I don’t just practice Estate Law. I lived it.
My path to becoming an attorney wasn’t a straight line. When I was 16, my mother passed away, leaving me an orphan and a high school dropout with no one to take me in. I learned the hard way what happens to a family when there is no plan in place.
That experience didn't break me; it became my fuel.
After traveling the country and earning my GED, I fought my way through college and law school with a single goal: to fix the system that fails so many families. My journey took me from the University of Tulsa to the courtrooms of New York, by way of Oregon and New Orleans.
Resilience & Results I don’t shy away from a fight. I wrote my first book while studying for the Oregon Bar (which I passed in 2014), and I beat breast cancer while preparing for the New York Bar in 2016. Later, during the pandemic, I successfully passed the Louisiana Bar (2020). Today, I focus my practice exclusively in New York, bringing that same level of tenacity to every client I serve.
How I Help You I founded The Law Office of Samantha A. Fix to be the lawyer I wish I had when I was 16. I operate as a "Digital Concierge," meaning I use technology to make legal services accessible, transparent, and efficient. I work remotely—sometimes from my home in New Orleans, sometimes from my sailboat in New York—so I can focus on results, not overhead.
I specialize in:
I believe sophisticated legal protection shouldn't be reserved for the ultra-wealthy. That is why I offer Flat Fees and clear communication.
Have a problem? We can Fix it.

While on an overseas deployment, I had received a citation for a Dept of Buildings violation that I was not responsible for. Due to my deployment, I was unable to appear at hearings to defend myself. For a year, Samantha diligently reviewed my case and appeared at hearings on my behalf. Upon my retur...

Samantha diligently worked on my behalf to achieve my dream of becoming a U.S. citizen. The process was a long and strenuous one. Frustration led me to a point of hopelessness, seriously considering giving up on this endeavor. For Samantha this was not an option for me. Instead, her positive atti...

Don't believe these other reviews they're probably from friends. It's been a complete nightmare. This woman told me I needed to organize my own information. She also told me I had to get addresses and phone numbers for people. And kept on hounding me as to why I didn't get the addresses. She created a...
I am sorry you feel this way. I know that your type of matter is very stressful. I can only work with the information I am given, and the court requires specific information that, as a client, you need to provide, i.e., the names and addresses. Regarding the affidavits, the ones you drafted were not viable for submission to the court. I did not request that you draft the affidavit, but since you provided it, I moved forward with correcting it. Thus, I drafted significantly more affidavits for your case than usual. Additionally, I drafted supporting evidence affidavits that you chose not to use. Instead, you drafted something that would not be admissible in court. You had me then use what you had drafted, which took significant time to make it admissible, including drafting a supporting Memorandum of Law, to support the inclusion of this evidence. Furthermore, the things you are requesting are not only outside my scope but also outside the court's scope. Finally, I did receive a temporary order in your favor and continue to work towards making it permanent. I did all this for a flat fee, while most attorneys bill hourly. The hourly work on your matter far exceeded expectations because I had to make documents fit your wishes instead of following the court's required format.
