What a wonderful attorney. He spent a lot of time with me explaining all the details of my concerns. He was kind and knowledgeable.

Auto Accident

He guided us through every part of the legal process and won our case. He took his time and went above and beyond to help me. He made a very difficult time bearable. Thank you.

Smart, sympathetic and honest

Daniel Kalish was one of more than a dozen lawyers I have spoken to over the phone at this point for my medical malpractice case involving an eye injury. Though my case wasn’t one he felt he could successfully represent, he urged me to continue looking for a lawyer. I was so impressed so by the troub...le he took to explain the ins-and-outs of my particular issue and the process that lawyers go through in accepting or rejecting clients that I wanted to contribute this review. Mr. Kalish listened patiently and sympathetically throughout my phone consultation with him—a good 45 minutes, I’d say. This was in marked contrast to 90% of the lawyers I spoke to who clearly couldn’t wait to hang up once they’d ruled me out as a potential client. He laid out the pros and cons of my situation, offered me useful advice on how to handle the cons and, most helpfully, gave me hope that continuing to contact lawyers would lead to the right one. As I said, Mr. Kalish did not rush me. He answered all my questions thoroughly and in great detail. He even went above and beyond duty by contacting another lawyer who might be interested in taking me on. It didn’t pan out, but a big tip of the hat to him for going the extra mile. Bottom line: a smart, sympathetic and sincere person who could (shock!) give lawyer’s a good name.

Avvo Rating

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
