Former Divorce client, Present Child custody client

While divorcing it was a difficult time, scary even, due to the fact my ex was NYPD and had pulled his side arm out on me. Mr. file and his staff were very supportive and helpful throughout the whole process. He has stood up for me when I felt unable.

Lucy

Mr. File was an extremely tough advocate for me throughout my divorce and his persistence paid off for me in the long run. I would strongly recommend him to anyone who is up against an unreasonable and devious spouse.

Happy Ex-Wife

I retained Mr. File to represent me in my divorce. At that time I had been married for over 30 years and was going through a very difficult period in my life. My husband had abandoned me and I felt I was going to be left with nothing. When I first consulted with Mr. File, he reassured me put my mi...nd at ease. I left his office feeling confident that I was in good hands. He fought diligently to get me what I deserved and was rightfully entitled to - believe me it wasn't easy - my ex-husband wanted to leave me high and dry. I am grateful to Mr. File for giving me the courage to keep fighting for what I deserved, even when I wanted to just give in. I would recommend him highly.

Avvo Rating

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
