Leo V. Duval

After speaking with a few other attorneys My husband and I decided Mr. Duval was the right one for us. We FIRST hired Mr. Duval as a defense attorney for my husband, from the moment we spoke with him we felt confident we were in good hands. He was informative, professional, aggressive, knowledgeable ...and completely put our minds at ease. A few months later we hired him AGAIN for a personal injury case. He kept us informed every step of the way, he answered all our calls no matter what the time and answered all our questions always. He was amazing in both cases; he was able to get my husband's case down to just a small fine and his injury case a large amount of money and closed the case in less than a year! Leo had no interest in defending me based on my information. from the start it was a terrible experience, his advice on going to the state hearing was "you don"t need a lawyer because the cop never shows up"....the cop showed up! when I told Leo he said it did not matter I would have Lost anyway ???... Which was not true because a friend from mine who happened to be in court the same day with his lawyer kept his licence until his court case. Moving forward, once again I go over my defense with Leo and ask if he requested my case file From the DA"s office. (it has been two weeks) he says he has not had time to go over it!! My court date he forgets to show up for my case, waiting over an hour, finally I ask one of two attorneys sitting in front of me if they had seen Leo this morning and one attorney looks at the other and laughs!! The court at that time was appointing me a Legal aid Attorney......but Leo walks into the court room, not for me but for someone else, according to the judge the oldest case on file.(because he is trying to get it postponed again !....so Im thinking Yep..I think I picked the wrong Lawyer and it couldn't be the money he is paid in full. After he realized I was there he had one of his Attorney friends postpone my case. after this episode I realize he has no plans to defend me...just do this rehearsed dance with the court of postponing and taking the standard offer from the DA. So after I tell him Im usng a new attorney ..to spare his feelings i suggested he was to busy...he then says he spoke to the DA and if I agreed to wear a anklet for 3 months he could Get me a DUI plea ?? Last I left Off with Leo he said he would give me back most of my money ...but he did nothing not even an Attorney/ Client contract. JUSTICE AT LAST MY NEW ATTORNEY WAS ABLE TO SHOW THE COURT MY DEFENSE I PAID A SMALL FINE AND LIFE WENT BACK TO NORMAL...IT REALLY MATTERS WHEN YOU CHOOSE THE RIGHT LAWYER !
