i hired him after seeing him help my best friend's family after he died. i decided to hire him for my will and trust. i have substantial assets most of which have beneficiaries on it. only 2 things i wasnt able to set up beneficiaries so i needed a will and trust so my brother didnt have to go thru ...probate. he sent me preliminary documents for my review and used percentages for my bequeathments in december 2024. i wasnt happy with that. in february 2025, i sent an email with my reiterated wishes after reviewing the preliminary documents and i acknowledged his concerns so he knew i took him seriously. in june, i followed up as i hadn't heard from him. he replied he would complete the work and send it to me by the end of the week. well the end of the week came and went and so did the next 3 end of weeks. i dont think that a will and trust that was obviously done on prewritten forms should take 6 months to complete. if he said he disagreed with my approach and didn't want to finish the work i would have said fine and i wouldnt have complained. as it is, i finally told him to return my retainer and all my papers. he replied yesterday that it was put in the mail and included a copy of the check in the email. his opinions when i first met him and the fact that he put my check in the mail without delay (obviously, i havent received it yet) is the only reason why i gave him 2 stars. he lost the other 3 stars when he didnt complete the work or tell me if he disagreed with my approach. to this day, all i know is that he told me he misplaced the file at one point.
