I seem to have bad luck. About the only luck I have is having this man having my back in the court room. I seem to be the only person on earth who can find himself in trouble just by helping others. I know, crazy right? This case in particular, I was trying to assist an elderly war veteran at the ATM... section of the bank. He was trying to figure out how to pay a $25 credit card bill before he receives a $50 late payment charge. None of the trash working behind the counter at this location (citi bank, Stapleton, staten Island) wanted to help this poor man. I tried everything to help him. I didn't realize you can't pay a citibank credit card bill at a citi branch. If the tellers would have been helpful this wouldn't have been a problem. I felt horrible for this old man who selflessly served his country. I refused to walk away & not be this poor old man's voice. I yelled through the glass to get help. Trash behind the counter would not help. Nasty attitude. I tried to get the attention of the branch manager since I know her very well & do a ton of business in the bank. Knocking on the glass, I couldn't be heard... I hit it a bit harder... & to my shock & dismay... the glass broke!!! Five million cop cars came on the scene,, larks going off... like in the movies!!! It was very very very bad. No one believed me how easy it was that the glass broke accidentally. Their thought was that I was a menacing criminal who broke the glass with malicious intent. My lawyer did due diligence, got the video surveillance... showed I was indeed trying to help this poor old man & did not with absolute malice try to break the glass (which broke with a bare hand) My lawyer went above & beyond to fight to clear my name. I wish I could say this was the only time my lawyer was needed... but he has represented me on many similar cases. He coined the phrase "Max... before you decide to help anyone, call me first" It's a long standing joke between us now. Through the years he's represented me on... I want to say about 20 or so cases... I've come out smelling like roses every time. This isn't by accident mind you... I was in some trouble... I was actually innocent, but the system doesn't care if your innocent. It's about what lawyer you have. I needed a lawyer who would fight for me. I stalked court rooms for a long time looking for "the one" & believe me... I know what I'm talking about. I found Yan... needless to say, he's been my counsel ever since that first day I asked to speak to him about my case many years ago. I have never in all of my years going through the system... had a better lawyer... there just isn't one. When you see him in action... you'll understand... there's a way a real lawyer carries themselves... how they dress... how they talk... the way they interact with opposing counsel... this is a man who masters his craft... and I saw this long ago... he truly is, the very best. If you need the best, this man is it.

About six years ago I met Yan amongst other friends & Was professionally introduced. Who in the world would ever think that only a few years later I will need his assistance in a criminal matter and when he had it completely dismissed in six months like he said he would.He comforted my wife with prof...essionalism and came down to the holding cells before I went to the judge to let me know what was going to be going on. Yan Katsnelson got my DWI and reckless-driving charges dropped. He was responsive to emails and phone calls. Because of this, I must say that Yan is a good lawyer. The only thing that irked me was how long it took for my case to be closed (6 months), but then again I don't know how long these things ...usually take to be resolved. So, overall, I would recommend Yan if you need a lawyer who is experienced with cases regarding matters of reckless driving etc etc.
