Robert Howard Rickner III

The worst lawyer EVER. I paid him for close to 4 years and he was unable to resolve my case. He was late with required court filings. He consistently did NOT do what he stated he would do. He lied to me about his required contact with the Court. He demeaned me when I questioned him regarding his act...ions. I believe that in the end he was bought off by the Defendant lawyers. He quit the case and left me hung out to dry after I had paid his fees for 4 years. I will be filing a a disciplinary action against him with the Attorney Grievance Committees for the Second Judicial Department for violating the Rules of Professional Conduct (22 NYCRR part 1200).

I was very upset about a business dealing that went sour. I did everything I could to protect myself and I always try my best to be fair to everyone, but I think the other party intended to side-swipe me (out of my earnings), and as a small fish (me) it was difficult for me to get the big fish to pa...y my fee. I spoke with or met with about 6 other lawyers, ranging from big, medium-sized, and small/independent firms. I thought for my specific case, Rob would be the right lawyer, and I am happy with how he handled my case. The only downside was I think my case was smaller (and therefore my fee smaller) compared to Rob's other cases, so I was possibly towards bottom of his to-do list, to work on my case. But other than that it is great when you find the right lawyer who can help you right a wrong, because when you are wronged, and no one else can help, you feel very alone with your despair.
