Karen was fast to tell us what a great case we had . Then sending an apple ipay for $3,000 that we gladly paid. This was her retainer and told she now represents us. We ended up firing her as we felt it very unprofessional to be exspect day to do her leg work / job and take the day to take a train to... Bronx court house to retrieve paperwork and forms for our case telling us how very important these papers are to our case. Then to call us at 9:45 pm to tell us we were supposed to be in court as she saw our name on the docket.. but was also in talks with the opposing lawyer all week and sure they disgusted day time and date of our court date. Then we went to court today Aug.8 in the Bronx only to find out the court/ judge had record of Karen being our lawyer AT ALL!!. This is a very very dangerous manipulative lawyer to say the least. Both my wife and I spent more time on preparing our complaint to the New York State Bar to file a grievance and request our $3,000.00 back than on our case. I will nit even get into the number of emails sent BEGGING her to stop all Communication and correspondence with us only to have her keep going, to the point of my husband having a nervous breakdown and rushing him to the hospital. This woman is “ off” has to have the last word almost like dealing with a child.

Karen Copeland was the best attorney I've ever spoken with. With out her dedicated service I would have lost my home where I had lived for 12 years, My land lord had powerful resources and a team of lawyers, but Ms. Copeland had superior trial skills and experience. We WON! and I still have my HOME. ...Thanks to her. Can't say enough about how terrific she is.
