Annie Causey

Annie E. Causey is a Partner at Woods Lonergan, representing closely held businesses and their owners in complex commercial and real estate litigation. Her practice encompasses disputes over business ownership and control, contractual rights, and fiduciary obligations, including post-trial proceedings and appeals.

Commercial matters include breach of contract, fraud and misrepresentation, tortious interference, and trade secret disputes. Annie brings and defends shareholder derivative actions, litigates disputes concerning the internal affairs of corporations, partnerships, limited liability companies, and joint ventures, and represents businesses and principals in dissolution proceedings.

Real estate litigation includes disputes over the ownership and control of commercial property, joint venture and partnership dissolutions, real estate fraud, and commercial lease enforcement. Clients include companies and principals operating across New York’s real estate and retail sectors.

The practice also encompasses executive compensation and employment disputes involving performance-based compensation, equity and vesting, restrictive covenants, and wage-and-hour claims.

Annie appears in the New York Supreme Court’s Commercial Division, the federal district courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York, and the Appellate Division, First and Second Departments.
