My mission is to make the law stuff accessible to non-lawyers, shatter the "stuffy, boring lawyer asshole" trope and inject work-life balance into the proceedings. The last group I care about impressing is other lawyers since I'm here for the clients and to show others you don't have to sell your soul or degrade yourself to be a lawyer.  Nobody should have to do that for anyone or anything, period.  Respect is everything in my world and it's a two way street.

Think of me as a creative type who just happens to be a lawyer.  I'm also an actor, singer, writer, model, blogger, podcast host/producer with talent that has lent itself to legitimate opportunities.  I even have an IMDB profile, have had an exclusive agent & a manager, have acting and hosting reels, have walked in fashion shows, etc. all while being an attorney.  People have been saying I should do stand up since I've (gasp!) got a sense of humor.

Since I'm the first in my entire family to even go to law school and hardly came from means, don't even talk to me if you view people as schools and class ranks instead of individuals. I also worked in retail for 7 years before going to law school and started my career as a partner in an entertainment company (who was also the entire in-house legal department and Production Executive).  I got that partnership 2 weeks after getting admitted to the NY bar so guess how I feel about typical BigLaw job requirements?

I'm always happy to give advice to those who want to work in the entertainment industry and can give you much better guidance than "make good grades."  Reciprocity and networking are highly valued in my book so however you treat me is how I'll treat you now and in the future.
