Then I was told to get out in 10 days and a “hold over eviction proceeding “was filed against me by the landlord !!… Fortunately I found Ari. ……..we conducted an in vestigation It turns out I was living in an apt that was rent controlled but had never been properly deregulaated .. (if it had been properly deregulated It would have been rent stabilized)….. The Landlord fought us hard but ultimately we triumphed and my apt was determined to be rent stabilized .and subject tothe rules and tennant Protection of s rent stabilized APARTEMENT We still have a few otheR issues to address -legal fees/potential over charges /etc. but this is aGREAT VICTORY and a great beginning!
