Nicholas C. Cooper has been practicing attorney disciplinary law, a very limited field, since the 1970s when he was appointed Chief Counsel, respectively, to the Disciplinary/Grievance Committees of the Appellate Divisions,1st and 2nd Departments. He has been in private practice for the last 35 years focusing exclusively on defense of attorney disciplinary cases and providing expert opinions and ethical advice to attorneys on all issues related to lawyers' professional responsibilities and legal ethics, as well as providing counsel to applicants seeking admission to the New York bar. He does not practice in any other area of law. This extremely limited practice enables him to provide an ultra-attentive focus not just on his clients and their cases, but also on this narrow field of law.
