Allen Yi graduated cum laude from Baruch College with a Bachelor’s in Business Administration in Entrepreneurship and Business Management. Upon graduation he was inducted into the National Management Honor Society, Sigma Iota Epsilon.
He then earned his Juris Doctor with first year honors from Rutgers University, School of Law. He also competed in the Thomas Tang National Moot Court and submitted a brief that was ranked 3rd Place in the US North East Region. During his academic instruction he also went to China and completed a program in HK Legal Studies at Hong Kong University, which was sponsored by Santa Clara University, School of Law. He spent his final year of law school studying at the Benjamin Cardozo School of Law in New York.
During his law school years, he participated in the Bankruptcy Pro Bono Program where he advised clients and prepared them in filing for Bankruptcy. In addition, Mr. Yi has also volunteered as an Auxilary Police Officer and has earned a Commendable Performance Award for his services during the Blackout of 2003. In his youth, he has worked closely over the years with the Chinese-American Planning Council where he served in many capacities serving the immigrant community.
His experience includes working with international law matters at a Hong Kong international law firm, and criminal defense/appellate work in a New Jersey firm.
However, his passion and expertise remains to be the practice of Tort and Insurance law; a passion that he has cultivated over the years working with the Law Offices of Wade T. Morris. Mr. Yi is zealous in his pursuit for just compensation from insurance companies for injury victims. Additionally, he can also counsel those individuals who have been forsaken by their own carriers when the insurance company places their own interests before the policyholder's. Remember, when you are sued in an accident, the lawyer that the insurance company hired is suppose to be there to protect you first and foremost. When it becomes apparent that they are not doing that, you must protect youself by hiring an attorney that will stand by your side and protect your livelihood. Call for a free consultation. Under certain circumstances, it may even be possible to have the insurance company pay for these attorney fees.
Mr. Yi is fluent in Chinese Cantonese, and has been admitted to the New York and New Jersey Bar.
