Extremely Rude

I called Ms. Orlin to inquire about pricing for an handwriting expert. Not even 7 seconds into me calling, Ms. Orlin screamed at me and said that I was speaking too fast and needed to slow down. I know for a fact that I was speaking at a normal pace and spoke very clear. I humbled myself and decided ...to apologize and spoke very slowly. She then asked me if I was a robot. At that point I told her never-mind and to have a nice day. I am not sure if there was a phone connection issue but she yelled at me like I was a 3 year old doing something wrong. I will definitely not be using her services.

The person who posted this review may be the woman who telephoned me a week or two ago, unsolicited by me. I cannot communicate directly with her to respond because she declined my request early in that telephone call that she provide her name, name of her company, reason for her call, and contact information and this website will not provide to me contact information for that person. I first learned the purpose of her telephone call by reading her review and can respond to that review only by this comment albeit I generally do not engage in communications on social media with clients, potential clients, or other persons purporting to request my or my law firm's services. Neither I nor my law firm provides, nor has ever provided, nor has stated on any online profile or elsewhere that either of us provides, handwriting expert services. I deny that I raised my voice during that telephone call otherwise than to assure that the caller could hear me speak slowly and clearly as I requested that she speak slowly and clearly so I could hear and understand her. If she or anyone else telephoned, emailed, or otherwise contacted me and identified himself or herself by name, company, reason for contact, and contact information in a manner that I could understand that information, I would respond professionally as always.

"Ms. Orlin worked for me for a period of five years while I was General Counsel in a corporate setting. During that entire time I found her to be an extremely bright attorney with excellent technical skills in the area of corporate and securities matters. Her integrity is above reproach. She brings a wealth of previous experience that always added value to the assignment at hand. I do not hesitate, in fact it is my honor, to recommend Ms. Orlin to those in need of legal services within her areas of expertise."

Avvo Rating

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
