A nightmare gone right. Innocent and the courts of Long Beach/public defender (garret Rooney) did want to hear my story. They didn’t want to see the evidence. I was dead today right. Looking at a guilty verdict and 3 years probation for self defense. The court didn’t see it that way. And my public d...efender didn’t believe me as well. Lawyer after lawyer that I consulted had very little trust in Long Beach court and al had a similar defeatist attitude once the words Long Beach come up, nobody wanted to take the case...... UNTIL I MET LEON !!! He took the case and took them by storm! They didn’t see it coming. And next thing you know, 3 short hearings and exactly as Leon said it would be, I was walking away free. And my case was heard! And the judges final words were “I’m guessing you will be accepting the deal we are putting forward, thanks to the MAGIC of your lawyer” Some call it magic. From day one Leon laid out all the facts and maneuvered a few paths for me. I appreciated the attention to detail and commitment until the very end even though I know how busy he was.
