Experienced, reliable and friendly

I hired Mr. Roth over a decade ago when I made my first-time purchase of a condo in Brooklyn. I did not hesitate to contact him again when I started looking to upgrade. I closed on a new place (also in Brooklyn) just a couple days ago. Mr. Roth and his staff were incredibly responsive and helpful ...throughout the process. My search for a new home began before the pandemic, and when the world suddenly turned upside down I had many newfound concerns about when and how to proceed, or if it was wise to proceed at all. Mr. Roth and company were very sensitive to those concerns and helped to alleviate them, never pressuring me to go forward if I felt unsure. And when we did eventually go into contract, they negotiated covid-specific terms to further safeguard my interests and put my mind even more at ease. Closing was a pleasant and uncomplicated experience. Soon I plan to sell my original condo and I will absolutely enlist the help of this practice again. Thanks!

Professional, knowledgable, reassuring

My husband and I hired Kurt and his firm when purchasing our first home—a co-op in Brooklyn. From the first phone call, Kurt put me at ease with his clear understanding of all the nuances of purchasing real estate in New York City and his to-the-point, blow-by-blow explanation of what the process wou...ld entail and what all the costs would be. Everyone we worked with at his firm, Dickler & Roth, was courteous and professional; and communications over email (of which there were many!) were clear, smooth and expeditious, though never lacking in thoroughness. The few times we had to visit the firm's offices at South Street Seaport (which are lovely!), we felt welcome and attended to. At closing, Kurt was present, active, and clearly there for our benefit—a reassuring guide with a mastery of the tasks at hand. Somehow he managed to make the process of signing a million pieces of paper informative, fast and—dare I say it—kind of fun! At the end of the day, we're homeowners now, so it's only natural that we would leave the process with a positive bias. But it is undeniable that Kurt and his colleagues ushered us through (and insulated us from) a very complex legal process, and that we came out the other side with both zero complaints and a team of trusted attorneys whom we would call on again without doubt or hesitation.
