Curtis F Carmack

Curt Carmack is a senior attorney with extensive experience in technology products and services, complex financial transactions, IP, outsourcing, dispute resolution, and licensing. Curt also has deep management, strategic, operations, and business development experience. He has spent much of his career negotiating technology transactions, especially in the financial services industry, and has closed more than 25 transactions valued between $100 million and $5 billion, as well as many hundreds of smaller transactions. Curt has also handled more than 30 mediations of sophisticated derivatives disputes (involving well over $5 billion in value) and has supervised complex IP and other ’s legal and business experience started at a major New York firm, and includes serving as a general counsel of a public financial services technology firm, a consultant to major private equity and venture capital firms, and as lead negotiator of disputed derivatives claims in the Lehman Brother bankruptcy, where he settled over $8 billion in has served on several boards of directors and worked in academia before beginning his legal career. In addition to his law degree, he holds a master’s degree in biochemistry and a B.S. in chemistry & math from the University of Utah.
