West Reid Rapoport

I contacted West from a referral from a co-worker. When I asked my co-worker if he knew of a good attorney, he did not hesitate and said that I needed to contact West Rapoport. I am glad I did! I received a speeding ticket about two years ago, and West has represented me over that time and through... all of the multiple rescheduling of court dates. I never once had to make a personal appearance in court, which saved me time and money. With each rescheduling, he explained why, and what the next steps would be. I am an attorney myself, but my practice was corporate; I know absolutely nothing about traffic court. Mr. Rapoport was recommended to me by a good friend, and I am forever grateful that I retained Mr. Rapoport to represent me on the first traffic ticket that I have ever received. He is extremely ...bright, very articulate, and clearly is experienced in dealing with the judges and the police officers in traffic court. From this experience I could see that it's an art form, dealing with the traffic court system. I insisted on being there with the attorney on the court date, which proved to be totally unnecessary since Mr. Rapoport explained to the judge why I should not be held to be at fault, and the judge immediately announced "Benefit of the doubt to the driver" and I received no points and no fine. Huge weight off my mind, since apparently one's car insurance rates can go up by 20% and be held there for 3 years if you are given "points" on your license in NY State.
