I started criminal defense thinking that I could be a free lawyer for people who had nothing and needed an advocate. That worked out well, but effective criminal defense requires money and close attention. This is why I am in private practice.

I have just started to bring law suits on behalf of clients who were wronged or hurt during contact with the police. I used to give these cases away, but no more.

I learned this law as a necessary part of defense work. But I now am getting some clients who just need my help to keep a family member in the US.
