In November 2024, Carmen was honored to receive the James Duane Award from the United States District Court, Southern District of New York. The District Court recognized her work mediating of a very contentious cross-border dispute conducted entirely in Spanish with pro se litigants on both sides.
She was one of three mediators honored in recognition of all of the work done by the 220 member mediation panel.
