Superb Family Lawyer and Trusted Advisor

By it’s very nature, contacting a top family lawyer is usually not going to come at a comfortable time in one’s life. Sue’s combination of experience, intelligence, and compassion made a set of uncomfortable circumstances more predictable, less stressful, and resulted in a more fair outcome for all i...nvolved. Sue has a keen wit and possesses a profound understanding of her area of law, and how those principals of law intersect and shape human behavior. Except when Sue is in court for other clients, she is remarkably available and responsive, which can be very important as family situations can be fluid and unexpected, requiring relatively rapid decision making. It is clear to me that Sue is highly regarded by the judges and court staff in the Family Court in New York City and that her reputation in that setting for competence and integrity directly benefits her ability to represent new and current clients. This combination of experience and excellence does not come cheaply, but in the end it is a value.

Susan Moss

Sue Moss represented me a number of years ago. After having spent 1.5 years with a prominent firm, I had gotten nowhere and the fees were outrageous. I was lucky to find Sue, who was intelligent, knowledgeable about the key items that pertained to my divorce (among them complex financials,) and wonde...rful to work with. She was able to complete my divorce in approximately six months. Instead of having to go through months of an expensive trial, Sue was able to reach a settlement with the other side. Finally, it was an unusually pleasant experience working with Sue, as opposed to my old firm. She really listened, came up with great strategies and we even laughed at times, as she had a good sense of humor and warm personal style. While I resented paying the large fees for my first firm, I was happy to pay for the excellent work that Sue and her firm did for me.

Excellent Divorce Attorney

Sue handles the some of the most difficult divorce cases (including mine) with extraordinary capability. She is a wise counsel with years of experience in divorce proceedings. Sue is able to provide her clients with not only the insight but also the foresight needed to be both protective, efficient... and uniquely successful in challenging divorce negotiations. Sue's depth of knowledge and complete understanding in both financial and custodial issues makes her unique and superior in handling divorce issues. If your case requires litigation, Sue is highly skilled in court room situations. She maintains a high professional level while at the same time achieving the objectives of her clients. Sue dots her i's and crosses her t's in every situation. I would recommend Sue as an extraordinary divorce attorney whose intelligence, insights, experience and legal acumen provide a phenomenal resource when dealing with a divorce!

SUSAN MOSS IS CRUEL, BARBARIC, INHUMANE—RUN AND DO NOT LOOK BACK

I am writing this review based on the alarming conduct documented in the real where Sue Moss was appointed as Attorney for the Children. Those considering the services of Sue Moss should be aware of serious allegations regarding her professional integrity and advocacy such as: Fabrication of "O...ral Orders": In this case, Ms. Moss reportedly asserted the existence of unverified "Oral Orders" that were neither recorded nor stated in open court. These alleged orders were used to strip a mother of her parental rights and mandate supervised visits at an astronomical cost. Defiance of Judicial Mandates: Documents indicate she ignored protocols established by the presiding judge and replaced qualified, court-appointed experts—who specialized in identifying parental alienation—with inexperienced social workers to influence the court’s direction. Failure of Due Diligence: Despite extensive reports from experts identifying dynamics of coercive control and domestic violence, Ms. Moss is accused of failing to perform necessary due diligence, choosing instead to facilitate a "personal vendetta" that obstructed all contact between the children and their loving and innocent mother for years. Medical Neglect: Concerns were raised regarding her failure to advocate for a child's health when informed of worsening conditions and withheld medical records. Susan Moss is a personification of moral degradation and a betrayal of the best interests of the children she was appointed to represent and protect. Having Sue Moss in your case is a stamp of guaranteed inhumane and barbaric tactics, no matter whose side she is on. There is only one side for Ms.Moss — her side. The side no one, believe me, wants to be on, no matter who she represents.

Sue is a walking disaster wrapped in a know-it-all attitude. She is a clueless meddler with a knack for making things worse. Stay away.

Avvo Rating

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
