Lois Jean Liberman

At the time I retained Ms. Liberman for help, my husband attempted to jam a settlement down my throat which at the time represented a tiny fraction of our marital assets. With Ms. Liberman’s assistance, and her zealous advocacy, my husband recognized that he could no longer bully me with her in ...my corner and ultimately a settlement was reached which was far more fair and reasonable and which provided me total financial security and independence. Ironically, as a result of the deal that was crafted by my attorneys, I am now in a far better financial position than my former husband. I will forever be grateful to Ms. Liberman for her legal acumen and how she intimidated my husband. I could never have achieved the excellent result without her. I also appreciated the fact that she sincerely cared about me and my son and the issues presented in my case. I have maintained a relationship with Ms. Liberman since my divorce was finalized and she has always been there to assist. I wholeheartedly trust her guidance and direction when post-judgment issues have arisen as well.

Anyone questioning Mrs. Libermans competence either has ulterior motives, or no legal knowledge whatsoever. Mrs. Lois Liberman is by far the most excellent, dedicated and effectively brilliant divorce lawyer I have ever met. (And I met with more lawyers most women going through a complicated divorc...e would ever encounter) Mrs. Liberman and her team saved my life and my children's lives which could have been forever ruined without her expertise and amazing work. I will be grateful to her and her team and Blank Rome LLP forever. She took my case after it was mishandled by another very reputable law firm and resolved complicated international asset issues involving several countries on 3 continents around the globe. The mere insinuation that she'd be ineffective within a situation in 'Westchester' is absolutely ludecrous. As for the charges,- they are what they are. Excellence has a price.

Having gone to the NYC-based Tenzer Greenblatt firm in 2000 for matrimonial representation I found myself pawned off to Ms. Liberman by big-shot boss, Stan Lotwin. Ms. Liberman immediately jumped into the matrimonial fray in Westchester County; a court system she had about as much familiarity with as... a first-time American driver in Paris. She succeeded in having rings run around her by the "locals" who represented my ex-wife. Her "Napoleonic" strategic insights into how to handle the case ultimately resulted in a loss of life savings and eventual Chapter 7 bankruptcy. Her coup de grace, so to speak, was to have me agree to have New York State Child Support Standards (CSS) waived; in fact, allowing the court to set a needlessly high monthly support payment which could not vary with changes in my income. This was so set in stone that a petition for a downward modification was dismissed out of hand in Family Court, citing the waiving of aforementioned CSS standards. In retrospect, it was clear that Ms. Liberman and her firm were intent on ending representation, since it was clear that I was having trouble paying their inflated bills. An attorney of my acquaintance, not too long ago, having reviewed Ms. Liberman's work in this regard mentioned it was too bad the statute of limitations had passed, since I probably should have filed a lawsuit for legal malpractice.
