As President of a small relatively new Coop on the upper East side of Manhattan, we have needed the services of Elise Liebowitz on numerous occasions. What makes Elise so special is that she would respectfully listen to the importance of issues we had and ably incorporate them into a legal document.... A case in point was about special language in a revised sublet policy we wished to have placed into our Propriety Lease. We asked her for a statement that reflected our Board’s understanding about its use. It took a few calls back and forth, but Elyse patiently heard what was significant to us and perfectly incorporated language into our Proprietary Lease that reflected those concerns as a written preface to our sublet policy. In another matter, I asked her to devise a way to affect another change in our Lease that could be most easily accomplished by me and that needed to be done very quickly. She did it within 2 days. I would recommend Elise Liebowitz without reservation.

We hired Elise as our real estate attorney to close on our first apartment purchase. She was incredible knowledgable and helpful throughout the entire process. As a couple that was new to the process of homeownership, Elise took the time to carefully explain the trade-offs during each important decis...ion and always made us feel like we were her only client. At the end, we were thrown a huge curveball by our bank the night before our closing that jeopardized everything. Elise called us at midnight and helped us work through a strategy to get the deal done the following day. She was tenacious in staying on top of the bank until they relented and was the main reason we were able to pull the deal together. She'll be the first person I call for any future real estate transaction and I'd highly recommend others to do the same!

Elise Liebowitz was wonderful... I needed help with a major real estate transaction in NYC. When she realized that I was a complete novice, Elise seamlessly shifted gears from super efficiency to all due efficiency but with everything clearly explained in layman's terms. She got the business done ve...ry much to my advantage, taking on several bureaucracies and their various attorneys... A year later when there was a tax hitch (not at all her fault), she dug up exactly the correct paperwork in a matter of minutes (seriously, minutes)... I simply could not be more pleased.

Elise represented me when I purchased my NYC apartment in 2015. As a first-time buyer, I greatly appreciated that she took the time to provide overview of the contracting process as well as the intricacies of the agreement. Throughout the contracting phase, Elise was excellent at providing updates on... the status of the negotiations with the Seller's Attorney. I was also extremely impressed by Elise's attention to detail. During the closing, certain items came to light that were not previously disclosed. While other attorneys would have been comfortable with the Seller's original explanation, Elise probed further to ensure that I was not taking on additional and unnecessary risk. I would highly recommend Elise to anyone in need of real estate representation.
