I am a business law attorney and focus my practice on securities law, venture capital and private equity, corporate governance, mergers and acquisitions, and general corporate matters. I represent private companies (at all stages), angel investors, investment funds, and industry trade associations. I have extensive experience advising as to SEC-registered and exempt capital markets transactions, including initial public offerings, common and preferred equity offerings and debt offerings. I regularly counsel registered and exempt investment advisers as to compliance issues. My experience also includes expert witness engagement in commercial litigation matters. I'm admitted to practice in New York, the District of Columbia, and Georgia, and actively practice in all three jurisdictions.
Prior to founding Ross Law Group, PLLC predecessor firm Jackson Ross PLLC in 2013, I had the pleasure of working in the Corporate Transactions & Securities and Capital Markets practice groups at Sidley Austin LLP and Alston & Bird LLP, where I advised clients on matters ranging from capital markets transactions such as initial public offerings, investment grade debt issuances, and private placements, to mergers and asset purchases and various credit facilities.
From 2009 to 2012, I served in the U.S. Department of the Treasury, where I managed conflicts of interest issues pertaining to contractors and financial agents engaged by Treasury to provide asset management, advisory, and other services relating to the Troubled Asset Relief Program (TARP). In that capacity, I developed and recommended compliance standards and regulation interpretation guidelines and designed the on-site testing carried out by the TARP audit department, during which I served as the subject matter specialist. I also helped draft the federal regulation for conflicts of interests as they pertained to TARP, and prepared the official conflicts of interest responses to Special Inspector General of the Troubled Asset Relief Program (SIGTARP) inquiries.
I like helping people and promise to do all I can to either resolve your matter myself or rely on my extensive network to find the attorney or other professional who is best-suited to assist you.

Non-responsive, Unhelpful
We worked with Gary and team over a number of years. He was helpful, but disorganized. When we addressed some of those concerns he became petty and unresponsive and “fired” us and left us navigating more complexity than we had started. Would not recommend him if you want a long run attorney to grow w...
