Mauricio's practice is especially strong in multijurisdictional sourcing and outsourcing arrangements. His representations involve assisting clients on various multijurisdictional information technology outsourcing arrangements affecting their worldwide operations. His involvement ranges from assisting clients with competitive requests for proposals, multiple vendor negotiations, setting up offshore captive operations, sourcing partnerships, and multijurisdictional outsourcing transactions.

As a member of the Firm's global privacy team, he advises Fortune 100 companies on legal aspects of current and emerging privacy, security, and data protection law, including the online and offline collection, processing, and sharing of personal information and data. He has assisted clients in developing and implementing worldwide policies and compliance procedures for handling and safeguarding sensitive personal and company information.

Mauricio also has extensive experience in the legal and business aspects of online payment systems, data interchange, content sharing and licensing, Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) technologies, data processing services, PCI, application service provider engagements, Internet-based technology services, electronic contracting, strategic e-commerce partnering, and related regulatory compliance issues.

Mauricio has extensive experience in complex transactions involving the development, acquisition, marketing, licensing, and distribution of intellectual property, technology and media products, including joint development, original equipment manufacturer (OEM), reseller, value-added reseller (VAR), and sales and marketing arrangements. Additionally, his practice includes technology services agreements such as the implementation/integration, maintenance, and support of large-scale systems.
