About Evangeline
Biography
Evangeline M. Chan has extensive knowledge and experience in the area of immigration law. The depth and breadth of her practice includes everything from investment- and employment-based visas to the more complex and highly technical intersection of criminal and immigration law. With her tenacity and personalized approach to each individual case, she has earned a reputation amongst her clients and peers as not just a seasoned professional but a compassionate advocate.
She currently serves as Director of the Immigration Law Project of Safe Horizon, the country's leading victim assistance organization. She is also an adjunct assistant professor of Immigration Law at CUNY School of Professional Studies and CUNY Hunter College. In addition, she is also a faculty member of Marino Legal, providing continuing legal education lectures on immigration law to attorneys.
She regularly conducts community and media outreach, speaking and writing about immigration law, policy and trends to raise public awareness. She has been published in Forbes, the New York Law Journal, The Wall Street Journal and The New York Times, among others. An active member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA), she lobbied with AILA on Capitol Hill for immigration reform in 2012, 2013 and 2017, educating members of Congress and their staff on the current issues with our immigration system.

Always believed in us!!!
Evangeline Chan is an exceptional attorney. My husband and I went to her to help my husband get his green card. After a couple denials, Evangeline never gave up and used everything she knew to get our dream to happen and today my husband has his green card and we are so grateful to her.

Got my Q1 visa!!
