In April 2010, I hired Tim Thulson to close on a house in upstate New York. With exams approaching, and having to study for the Bar myself, I needed someone to handle the countless details of the real estate transaction professionally and without much input from me. Since I was moving from Washi...ngton D.C., I could not be near the transaction, so until I hired Tim, I felt out of touch with the process - a scary thing when buying a house. Tim ably controlled the entire transaction, despite the distance. He walked me though the contract to steer clear of potential problems, and assisted extensively in the negotiation phase as well. Throughout the process, Tim kept me up to date on the process, and always let me know when there was a choice to make. With Tim's advice, I was always confident that I was making both a wise decision whenever it was called for, and felt like I understood the process and what was required. With Tim taking care of the closing, I could sit back and focus on the other tasks at hand. Just the day before closing, Tim caught an error on the Banks paperwork, that saved me $1800. The next day, everything went smoothly at closing - in fact, there was not a document there, that Tim had not already explained to me. In fact, when all was said and done, both my real estate agent, and mortgage agent told me that it was Tim alone was responsible for making the closing happen on time. Overall, I was impressed with Tim's care and attention to the closing. His professionalism and attention to detail exceeded my expectations, making me confident that the transaction was going well.
